Antony 25th June 2021

Dearest Anna, I remember one of the last things you wrote to me before you left King’s last year: “We had some good times. Thank you for them.” I remember our early Thursday morning ‘Bun Days’. I remember when you would be grumpy at work and I would notice, and smile and you couldn’t stop yourself from smiling back. I remember when I invited you to my wedding many years ago. You were so sweet and happy for me and to be there for me. I knew it wasn’t easy for you or necessarily your idea of a good time! But I was so glad that you came. I remember the last conversations we had, talking about a faraway future in which we were retired with you living in a caravan (or a cabin) in a corner of my garden, growing fruit and vegetables. All these things and more I remember. I remember my unique and lovely colleague and friend. "We know each other. He's a friend from work!". I wish and hope that you knew how much you meant to so many of us. We did have some good times and I truly do thank you for them. Tony
